"Soon you’ll be able to enjoy my latest infamy. I’m grateful to work with the craziest, sexiest, and most talented people on the face of the earth. The real privilege is doing whatever the hell you want with fucking great people. To hell with it!"
Jano Pita was born in Figueras on November 2, 1992.

After four years at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Oviedo, he studied Film and Video Directing at CIFP CISLAN in Langreo. In 2021, he completed a Diploma in Film Directing at the Madrid Film Institute. He currently teaches classes on horror cinema at the Madrid acting school Actores Madrid.

A lover of genre cinema—especially horror and B-movies—he always knew that was the kind of filmmaking he wanted to pursue. His work reflects a taste for 1970s horror, practical effects, and an understanding of genre cinema as a tool for telling universal stories.

In 2021, he directed Teratoma, which was selected for and won awards at more than 40 genre film festivals. His next short film, Apotemnofilia (2023), was selected for more than 70 film festivals, including the prestigious SXSW (South by Southwest), and received four nominations for the Méliès d’Argent.
